5. COOKIE POLICY

We use cookies on our website to improve its performance, ensure security and provide a better browsing experience.

What are cookies? They are small text files that a website places on your computer or mobile device through your browser. They hold only information relating to your preferences (such as your chosen language), and do not include personally identifiable data.

Essential and functional cookies: strictly necessary for the correct operation of the website (provided by the Pixpa platform). They allow you to browse the site and to access your private Client Area securely.

Analytics cookies: we use third-party cookies (such as Google Analytics or internal statistics tools) to collect anonymous data on how visitors use the site, helping us to improve our platform continuously.

Social media and marketing cookies: our site includes links to external platforms (such as Instagram). These networks may set their own cookies to track interactions when you view our work through the site.

All internet browsers allow you to accept, refuse or delete cookies through the browser's own settings. Please note that disabling cookies may limit access to the Client Area or the correct loading of the portfolio.

6. PROTECTING YOUR INFORMATION

We follow best practice and industry standards to protect your data in transit and in storage. We put technical and organisational measures in place to keep all shared information secure.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. For that reason, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we cannot be held responsible for any loss resulting from computer fraud, or from circumstances in which your information is accessed without our express authorisation through failures outside our control.

7. SENSITIVE DATA AND MINORS

We advise you not to include sensitive or confidential personal data (such as credit card numbers or health data) in the emails or forms you send us.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without the consent of a parent or legal guardian. We are not responsible for identifying data that you choose to post publicly in comment areas of the site or on our social media.

8. DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES AND PROCESSORS

So that we can run our business effectively and deliver our work to the premium standard we promise, your data may be processed by fully trusted technology processors that comply with the GDPR, namely:

Pixpa: the platform on which our website is hosted.

Pic-Time: the specialist service where we host and deliver your private digital photo galleries (your Client Area).

Make: the internal automation tool we use to streamline our workflows and respond quickly to enquiries.

Analytics platforms and social networks: for marketing and portfolio purposes, the site interacts with tools and pixels from Google, Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Threads and TikTok.

We may also disclose your information where we believe its release is strictly necessary to comply with the law or to protect our legal rights.

9. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

While browsing, you may be directed to third-party websites (such as suppliers, venues or wedding partners). These sites have separate, independent privacy policies that are not controlled by us. We recommend that you read the terms and policies of those sites carefully before submitting any information.

10. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

The personal contact data you provide will be kept in a secure digital archive, in accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), for a maximum period of 10 years, in order to meet legal, contractual and tax obligations.

(Note: the archiving and safekeeping period for your final photo galleries is set out in the Service Agreement and on the Frequently Asked Questions page of our website.)

11. YOUR RIGHTS

Your personal data belongs to you. You therefore have the right to access, rectify, restrict, erase and object to its processing — simply send a request to geral@angulosphotography.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. In Portugal this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the Portuguese data protection authority, whose details are available at www.cnpd.pt.
